Two famous sights in one day: Visit James Joyce’s inspiration, the Italian port of Trieste. On the way back stop at the Lipica stud farm, home of the Lipizzaner horses. Enjoy the horses perform.
Trieste, so called “little Vienna on the Adriatic Sea”, is a multicultural Italian City dating back to Roman times. You will experience its historical splendour and admire the remarkable Art Nouveau palaces in the embrace of the blue Adriatic sea. Did you know that Trieste is European Capital of coffee? So a nice cup of coffee is a must.
The Lipica stud farm has over 400 years of tradition and has preserved the breeding of pure Lipizzaner horses for equestrian sports and classic riding schools. Few people know that the world famous Lipizzaner horses come from Lipica, a small village in the Slovene Karst region. You will have a tour of the stud farm and the opportunity to see the horses perform for you.
