Tour Details

Two magnificent but totally different Slovenian lakes. Lake Bled with its island and castle has a fairy tale charm and Lake Bohinj nestled between the rugged Julian Alps.

Bled is a picture postcard – perfect, fairy tale resort. Learn about the history of Bled from its beginning to what it is today and see its natural beauties. From the summit of the castle cliff a breath taking view of the mountain scenery and panorama opens up.

You have an opportunity to visit Slovenia’s largest natural lake, to see the source of the river Sava Bohinjka, the Savica waterfall or to enjoy a bird’s eye view of Lake Bohinj from Mt. Vogel, where you have the impression that you can almost touch the peaks of Julian Alps. Time for lunch and a visit to the church of St. John the Baptist. The journey back will take us through the villages of the Upper Bohinj Valley.
